Sunday -- a good day

It's a nice, balmy day in the surburbs of Fort Worth, Texas. (BTW, that's pronounced "Foat Wuth")

My children... at least the two still at home (#3 - she of the red hair who must be obeyed; and #4 - he of the sweet, goofy disposition) went down to Waco to pick up #2 (he who hasn't left the "deaf bubble of protection") at college. It is spring break and they are traveling to east Texas to spend the week with their mom (Madam Voldamort) and stepdad. I hesitate to articulate further as I want to keep the blog a righteous place.

So me and the DSW are alone! Woo hoo! She's talking to her sister on the phone and I'm typing while iTunes plays my "Top Rated" playlist. "As I Lay Me Down to Sleep" by Sophie Watkins is playing... "when the sun comes out again"

I've been talking to the DSW about generating some income streams. I've been talking to McGraw Hill about writing some books for them appropriate for training Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analysis professionals.

Music: "The Lost Chord" by Vocal Majority.

Anyway, I have one more church meeting today. I have to leave in an hour. I've been asked to be a "Unit Commissioner" for the local Boy Scout District. I'll be assigned to 3 or 4 scouting units. I don't know if they will be Cub Packs, Scout Troops, or Venture Teams. I will be a resource and training person for the adult leaders of the units. This means I'll be going to 1 or 2 monthly District meetings and probably visiting a different unit each week.

I also was planning to use this as a excuse to attend Woodbadge.

Music: "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. I like this song!

More later! I'm going to snuggle a spell.
